BUILDERS' FEDERATION.
ANNUAL CONFEEENCE. (PBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) INVERCARGILL, Novomber 30. The anuual conference of the Builders' Federation opened to-day, delegates being present from all parts of the Dominion. They were welcomed by the Deputy-Mayor. The president (Mr H. Mainland) occupied the chair. The report stated that the building trade had been busy during the year, with promise of a continuance. The securing of what was tantamount to a Dominion award for carpenters, bricklayers, and stonemasons, in connexion with the Auckland carpenters' dispute, had a salutary effect, as it had been followed by the Arbitration Court in all centres, and had established standard conditions which would prove of great value.
