The weather was porfeet, and the attendance 5000, when the test match, between Atutialia and South Africa was resumed. The rain on Sunday had not affected the wicket. Scoring was steady owing to fine bowling by Blanckenburg Bardsley was not as confident as usual, though Collins was mono aggressive- The latter .was dropped at the wickets at 46. Macartney was not a* enterprising as hitherto, but seemed just to havo got going when he was snared in the slips, and three wickets had fallen for 153. When Ryder tat out to make his big score Ibo Victorian, was partial to off drive*, and, despite frequent bowling changes, gave a brilliant display, though ho occasionally mistimed BlanokeaWe, who was a thorn in Australia's side. Thwmg'hout, Ryder gave a semblance of a chance near point in bis . opening over. His was tbo eighth wicket' to fall, with the total at 3ST. He batted (or three hours and hit 12 fours. Woodend Juniors played Ohok* on 'Saturday. Woodend made 122 (Alf Judson- 34, G. Little 28, F. Borland 17, Art Judson 11), and Ohoka, batting one man abort, 106 (H. Pearce 31, V, Lynsky 27, F.
