EXTRAORDINARY CONCESSIONS. (JBjr Cable—Press Association—Copyright.) (Australian end N.Z. Cable Aeoociation.) (Received November 29th, 7.85 p.m.) LONDON, November 29. Labour members of the District Councils considered an extraordinary series of proposals for helping the unemployed. The meeting of the Erith Council was invaded by unemployed, who howled down the opposition until th e Council decided to allow all unemployed to ride free on the municipal trams, and the free use of the baths, and also decided that a typewriter should be purchased for tho unemployed committee. The Lewisham Council defeated a proposal to give every unemployed ten shillings to buy toys for children, and also oranges and nuts and materials for Cliristmas puddjngs. These goods will, however, be added to the doles of provisions to be given to the unemployed at Christmas time.
