There waa also the necessity of the use of imagination, ior alter all the facta oonnectod with the black epot- area were known, there would still be room for the inventor to hit upon the beet method of dealing with the disease, and though name of the method* suggested by the lecturer might sound fanciful, it was proliable that they would form a basis for the practical control of the trouble. A motion was passed that it be a recommendation to the Fruitgrowers' Council to urge upon the Government that, in the interest of the fruit industry, the i'W.OCO paid by the Cawthron Institute in stimp duty b* returned to the trustee*.
