FREEZERS' AWARD.
GISBORNE UNION'S ATTITUDE. fntlSS ASSOCIATION TILF.GRAIM GISBORNE, November 23. The freezers' award has been awaited 'with interest. On Monday of last week tho works opened, but no labour offered. To-night the union held a meeting; when 400 members were present. The secretary was iustructed to notify the companies that the men were prepared to accept work as soon as the works opened, and that a protest be made against several clauses of the award. The works will probably open on Wednesday.
