BOWLING.
OXFORD CLTJB. Postponed from Labour Day, on account of the weather, the Oxford Bowling and Tennis Cluba opened their season on Saturday in pleasing circumstances. The weather was ideal, and there was a larg» gathering 1 . The patrons and supporters of both dabs first met at the bowling green, where the president (Mr I». "Watson), in opening the season, said he hoped that by the opening of the next bowling season a croquet lawn would be laid out and in readiness. Mrs Watson sent up the first bowl and the green was declared opened.
