CEMENT ALLEGATIONS ENQUIRY.

Mr Masters, M.P., is objecting to the order of reference of the Commission of Enquiry into the cement allegations, -wherein it is. stated that the Board of Trade sanctioned the maximum retail-price of cement at £9 ids 6d per ton store at Wellington. Air Masters 6*ys ha never used such figures, and quotes "Hansard'' in support. Be wishes, to have substituted an enquiry aa to whether the Board of Tirade sanctioned a further rise of 30s per ton. He also wishes to have the words "or in restraint of trade" added to clause S on the ground that he said the aereement was in restraint of trade.
