Ex-Police Superintendent Cruicktfiank, late of Greymouth, who is nbw on a holiday visit to England,.has been appointed Commissioner of Police at §amoa, »nd will take up his duties there shortly after returning to New Zealand. At the meeting of St. Andrew's Deacons' Court on the Bth inst, reference was madi to the late Mr T. D. Boftg, and a resolution of sympathy was carried, to be conveyed to his widow and son. Mr Bong wns a generous friend and supporter of St. Andrew's Church.
