WAIMAKARIRI HARBOUR BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the Waimakariri J Harbour Board was held at Kaiiipci yesterday. man), T. K. Leith-.ad, D. Hawko, W. H. Hale, W. Boiibitday, M. Bethell,' M. U. Campbell, H. Tallot, D. li. Hutchison, a,nd T. K. Keetley. ; A letter, was received horn the County Clerk,' Waipara, advising that Mr K. D. '. Campbell had been appointed to represent I the' county on ■ the B jard" in place of the ; j late Mr. Richard Evanß. | It was decided , that a- committee, comprising the chairman, Messrs Boubleday and Leithead be appointed-to report to "next meeting on tho Rivers Commiefiion'e xeport on the Waimakariri. I The chairman and Mr Doubleday were appointed to represent the Board on the I committee set up to protect the interests of the property on the north bank of the river. Tho chairman and Mr Leithead were em.powered.to interview the Valuation Department with a view to having tho roll ot the Vaim&kariri Harbour District brought up to date. The Works Committee were authorised to carry out the removal of piles in the haif tide wall-if■ considered necessary. The Board approved of the Works Committee's action in stopping the painting of advertising matter on the Board's property in Charles'street. I. Mr W. Doubleday was appointed chairman i of the Works Committee. ; It wae decided that the Board arrange to | make an inspection of the river before nest I meeting.
