THE COAL MINERS.
KAITAXQATA MINE STILL IDLE. (MtBSS ASSOCIATION TJXEGRAS.) DUNEDLN, February 4. In connexion with the trouble at the Ka.itanga.ta mine, a deputation of miners interviewed the management, stating they had a message from the Federation that all work was to be resumed, and that the Kaitangata dispute would be submitted to the tribunal set up to deal with the Blackball dispute. . The management informed the deputation that such was not the case, as the tribunal was only empowered to deal with the Blackball case, and there was no dispute between the Kaitangata Company and the men. The question of resumption was therefore still deferred. "ALL GOING WELL." (PRESS ASSOCIATION ItLttiKAU.) WELLINGTON, February 4. In regard to the mining situation it is expected that the majority of the mines will be working under their normal capacity to-morrow. The Prime Minister, in an interview to-night, intimated that all was going well towards a settlement of the dispute.
