DOMAINS BOARD.

Mr George Harper presided over yesterday'B meeting of the Domains Board. Tie secretary of the Hagley Bark Ground Committee of the Cricket Association, applied for -permission to take up a colledtion en Saturday afternoons for the purpose of improving th© seating accommodation. Permission was given for a collection to be made on three ouecessive Saturday afternoons? A hearty vote of thanks was passed to &r Heatort Rhodes for (the gift of two ships' scats for the gardens. The proposed alterations and improvements to the Hagley Golf. Club's pavilion ■were approved of. The report of the Curator, Mr James Young, was received. He stated that he hoped ,to commence the rock garden early this aultumn. Mr Young reported that several fire* had occurred in Park hedges caused by some poisonous chemical substance being spread along the footpath. The Board decided to write, to the Waimairi County Council, which had spread tie substance, pointing out the danger of fires. The chairman of the Gardens.
