PROHIBITION
« THE N.S.W. REFERENDUM. (By Cable—Press Association—Copyright.) (-Australian arid N.Z. Cable Association.) SYDNEY, December 17. In the Legislative Assembly an acrimonious' discussion followed a request that tho Government should state if it intended to conduct tlie Prohibition referendum (which it was recently reported would not be hold) in accordance with tho law before June, 1921. Tho Premier (Hon. J. Storey) denied promising that it would bo held, and declined to enlighten tho Houso further. Ho added that he would state the Government's intentious at the time.
