AFGHANISTAN.
TREATY "WITH BRITAIN. (By Cable —Press Association —Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) DELHI, Decomber 10. It is announced that the Afghan delegates having placed the results of tho recent discussions beforo the Amir, tno latter wrote to tJhe Viceroy in the friendliest terms, inviting a Jintisft Mission to ICabui for the conclusion ol a treaty. Tho British Government has now authorised the Government _or India to accept the same. Tho Mission will cross tihe frontier at the end of December. India has been expecting the announcement some time.; It has been well received, as there is a strong feeling that some definite relations with Afghanistan aro highly desirable. The news that tho Mission is proceeding to Kabul will probably act as a sedative on the frontier.
