It is announced that the Afghan delegates having placed the results of tho recent discussions beforo the Amir, tno latter wrote to tJhe Viceroy in the friendliest terms, inviting a Jintisft Mission to ICabui for the conclusion ol a treaty. Tho British Government has now authorised the Government _or India to accept the same. Tho Mission will cross tihe frontier at the end of December. India has been expecting the announcement some time.; It has been well received, as there is a strong feeling that some definite relations with Afghanistan aro highly desirable. The news that tho Mission is proceeding to Kabul will probably act as a sedative on the frontier.
