"Pussyfoot" Johnson, commenting on tho Scottish poll, said: "If I had been managing for the 'wets,' I would have adopted altogether different tactics. I would not have held a single meeting. Instead of stirring up tho women and churches and pestering tho public, 1 would havo remembered that aoatiiy counted for tho 'wets.' Instead, the "wets' destroyed apathy % making a fight for it."
