Sir Hamar Greenwood, in tho House of Commons, said 22 police and 14 soldiers had been murdered in Ireland during October. Twenty-eight policemen and 30 soldiers had been wounded, and 223 civilians had been court-mar-tiallcd, and 167 convicted. Eleven lorries, filled with uniformed men, entered Granard, where Inspector Kellegher was shot on Sunday. They opened fire on the houses, and also set fire to various buildings. The market house and a hotel valued at £70,000 were destroyed, and also a number of business premises. After the withdrawal of the troops £rom Tralee early in the morning, uniformed men, armed with axes and petrol, set fire to a number of houses. The militarv force returned and restored order, aid helped to extinguish the fires. NIGHT ATTACK FRUSTRATED. /Received November oth, 9.40 p.m.) LONDON, November o. After the murder of a constable the residents of Ballinalee, anticipating reprisals. armed themselves and drove off uniformed men making a night attack, killing three and wounding sis.
