PRICE INVESTIGATION.
THE CHEISTCHUECH TRIBUNAL.
REMAINING MEMBERS RESIGN
The Christchurch Price Investigation Tribunal has ceasod to exist. Two weeks ago Mr F. C. Ellis resigned from membership, and yesterday it was officially stated that the other t,wo members, Messrs C. P. Agar and W. H. Norton, had resigned. The chairman of the Board of Trade (Mr W. G. McDonald) said last evening that Messrs Agar and Norton had resigned on account of the fact that the work of the Tribunal took up too much of their time. Moreover, Mr Norton was out of Christ-church at present, and was likely to bo away for two or three months. Christchurch was, therefore, without a Price Investigation Tribunal at present, but arrangements were being made to carry on the work in tho meantime. There were no further details for publication at present. Mr Agar said last night that he had sent his resignation up to Wellington weeks ago, and so far he had received no acknowledgment. He did not know that it had been accepted, and he would not make a statement on the position at present.
