It is reported there* are great Bolshevik concentrations Bakhuna, Merv, and Tashkent. It w sa.u the Bolsheviks have seven mobile divisions on tho frontier. Enver Pasha, who is at Merv, has been offered the command. The result has been a sharp division of opinion throughout Afghanistan. One party which is influential a« Court fvaours giving the Bolsheviks a free passage through to India, and joining them in an attack. A portion ot the army supports this, but the largo cultivating classes and merchant class strongly oppose it. Thev advocate resistance to t ! he Bolsheviks. The Amir contemplates abdication. A mutiny occurred among the troops of the Afghan garrison ia a frontier post 45 mile 9 south of the Bolshevik ajjpr ance guard.
