— 1 ACCIDENT TO WATSRSIDEK. A waterside worker named James Conncll had his hand ba-.lly injured yesterday by getting it caugOit in Ihe nip of a sling while wovlcing in the Waitomo. As there were no doctors in Lyttelten at the time, Connell was conveyed to the Christchnrch Hospital. It is feared that the amputation of one or two fingers may hs necessary.
