The State Cabinet has decidccl to reinstate the railwaymen who were dismissed on account of the 1917 striko. LW.W. PRISONERS. (Received June 2nd, 10.50 p.m.) SYDNEY, Juno 2. The wharf labourers are demanding the release of the I.W.W. prisoners within a month, failing which a stopwork mooting will he held to consider what action will be taken. DISMISSED. SYDNEY, June 2. Five hundred stovemakers have been dismissed by Matters. Limited, in con- . sequonco of friction between the employers and the employees, the latter I frequently holding stop-work meetings with a view to enforcing their demands. The foreman, irritated by the repeated interruptions to work, thereupon issued tha dismissal notices. BEOKEN HELL STRIKE. (Received June 3rd. 1.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, Juno 2. The round-th ©-tabic conference, held to endeavour to arrange a. settlement of the Broken Hill strike, failed to reach finality. It will bo resumed tomorrow.
