LONDON, May 29. • A novel development in the use of 1 the aeroplane is its adaptation for | forest survoy purposes, giving exact and speedy information as to the extent of forests and the most suitable lines for cutting tracks. These aeroplanes are expected to do valuable work in opening lands not fully explored. A number are now in course of shipment to Canada for this , work, while others aro being sent tr> India. Air Commodoro Groves, C C., D.5.0., has died from injuries received ] in an aeroplane crash at Almaza. i Commodore Groves became Deputy Chief of the Air Sitaff in April, 1918, and was the right hand nion of Air Marshal Trenchard. He did immense work in the development of aviation. TAir Commodore R. M. Groves, C.8., D.SO., who was 40 years of age, served in the Royal Navy from 1594 till 1914, when, with the rank of Commander, he i entered the Royal Naval Air Service.]
