QUEENSLAND'S PREMIER.

At tlio Lord Mayor's banquet to masters of City Guilds, at the Mansion House, Lord Riddell, in proposing Mr Theodore's health, said he was a brilliant and distinguished Australian. Ho added at the l'ejice Coutereiue ho was so struck with the fact that the most homesick were the Australians and New Zealanders, that if ever he emigrated ho would go to one of those countries. Tho oversea representatives at Paris had a direct way of speaking, which was rather novel, and not according to old-fashioned European customs, but they rendered very great service.
