MOTOR-CYCLE RACING.
A DANGEROUS SPORT. (PEKS3 ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND. March 31At the inquest on Daris Peter Finn, who died from injuries received while luotor-cvcle racing on Monday, evidence was given that the track had not been specially prepared, but was in good order. The Coroner, Mr J. K. "Wilson, S.M., said this was the second inquest he had had on men killed while cycle racing. Percy Coleman, one of the competitors in the race with deceased, said he overhauled deceased and brushed his arm. This caused Finn's cycle to skid. Witness was travelling about 80 miles per hour, and deceased about 6olailes. The. Coroner returned a verdict in accordance with the evidence. He commented on the exceedingly dangerous character of this sport, and added:— "I cannot stop you. I" have no power to do so; but if this kind of- thing continues, someone will have to stop you."
