Details of tlio disorders at Mantua on December 3rd mid 4th. in which eight wore killed and fifty wounded, show that the disturbance*, were tho result of a protest against the strike. The mob attacked the barracks, and beat four officers senseless, and smashed all tho windows. Soldiers fired into the air, bat tho mob fired at tho soldiers. The mob then invaded tho railway station and destroyed tho telegraphs and telephones. They rushed to the gaol and rclencH the prisoners and set fire to the building. They committed similar acts elsewhere. The troops were reinforced and occupied the city.
