TO TH* EDITOR OF "THJ NUM." Sir, —On being asked his opinion on Friday night of the proposed increase to members' honorarium, Mr Isitt suid that £300 por annum was not sufficient for a man to keep n wife and family on. Does not that gentleman know that many men in this good city and olseuliero hnvo to do so—married men with fmnilirs, and they have to work all tho yc«r round? M.P.'s givo only i.hrro months out of the year to tho of tho country and have all the rest or" tho time for "their own affairs. If tliry havo nothing but their honorarium to live upon tho fault is their own. —Vours, etc., POOR CLERK'S WIFE.
