■ ) -» SYDENHAM CIRCUIT. - The quarterly meeting of the Sydenham •Methodist Church Was held 011 Thursday evening, the Rev. T. A. Joughin presiding. The balanoe-sheet showed c, email debit balance. Satisfactory reports were t received, from the C.E. Societies and Young' Worship? pers' League.' Ji'he membership returnsshowed an increase .of six membsrs. It wall decided to take up a retiring collection fctr the Social Preachers' Mutual Aid Fun if. Messrs J". Hadfield and S. Maddren were ef>pointed representatives to the District Synctl, and Messrs J. Sent and W. Dobbs as sv betitubes. Messrs "W. BerriP and J. A. Bbck were appointed circuit auditors. The Ilev. W. Beckett aijd- Sister Emily were invj ted to remain in the circuit for another yaar. The Rev. W. Beckett thanked the mern'oere for their invitation, but requested tim/> to consider. It was decided to approve o/: the propoaed fund for the Equalisation of reriioval expenses. Messrs H. Sayers and W. W,right wpre heartily congratulated on their reception into:the Church as looal preachejß.
