SHIPPING NOTES. Work on tho waterfront was ■very slack -jeeterday, tho Tropio being the only oversea veasel in port. The Marnroa and the coaieta.l boats, Storm, Woottou, and Cygnet, and tbe barqucntino Lindstol, completed the total in port. Tho Canopus, which was delayed on Saturday, on account of two of her crow being tick, left for Weslport yesterday morning. The barquentine Lindotol could not finish loading in time to eail yesterday, and is now due to leave at 3 o'clock this morning. The Mokoia was timed to leave Wellington at 8 o'clock last night for I/yttelton. She will leave hero to-night en arrival of the- 6.55 train. The Wcstralia. which left Melbourne on Sunday, is due here, via Wellington, on the 18th inst. She will proceed from here to Dunedin md Bluff, before sailing for Melbourne. Tho Karu is due here at the end of the week, from Now Plymouth, via Wellington. The City ol Winchester, now discharging American cargo at Dunedin, will load it Timaru, Lvttelton, and Australian ports, for the United Kingdom. The Kamona, from Dunedin, is expected early this morning. The Koromiko is doe this morning fromf Newcastle, and after discharging her coal she will sail for Sydney direct. Among latest charters are the Hama6on Maru, Newcastle to Auckland, with coal; the Yei Maru IL, Newcastle to Wellington,
with coal; the Opihi, Calcutta or Strailbs Settlements, to Australia or New Zealand ports, general cargo; and tb-f, barquentinp Senorita, Clarenoo town to Greymouth, witli hardwood.
