There aro numerous reports from Jelallabad' of increasing unrest in the Afghan Army, want of discipline among the troops and growing lawlessness jn the district. This is certain to react on Kabul, where the people agree that power rests in tho hands of the soldiers. The Kalulio is afraid to discuss events, and it is impossible to discover what •was happening at the Royal Palace.
