American naval officers are to wear tunics almost identical in cut with those of the British Navy. The new regulations come into force with the signing of peace. At present the American tunic, which ig conspicuously short, buttons tight up to tho 'collar without display of buttons, and ha* broad, black-braided edges. In the future it will be a doublebreasted "reefer jacket" like the British coat, with a double row of brass buttons and without braid. London (military tailors are already busy on orders for the new kit from many American officers still in Europe.
