Poisons obstructing Government work will be court-martialled. The Unitod States, in a note recognising the British protectorate over Egypt, expresses the sympathy of the President and people with the legitimate aspirations of llio Egyptians for a further measure of self-government, but views with regret tho efforts to obtain it violently.
