BAND CONCERT. The Lyttelton Marine Band, under Conductor A. Hea,th, will play the following programme on the Lyttelton Band Rotunda this evening:—March, "The President". (Vernon); grand national -selection, "Upholding Freedom's" Banner" (Ord Hume); overture, "Poet and Peasant" (Suppe); march, "The King's Cavalier" (Rimmer); selection, 'Clnssicnl Favourites' (Rimmer); cornet solo, "Queen of the Earth" (Pineuti); valse, "Amelia" (Cennington); fantasia; "Scenes of Beauty" (F. le Due); march, "Northumbri-ani" (Rimmer). MAGISTRATE'S COURT. Mr L. A. Stringer, J.P., at <ho Lyttelton Magistrate's Court on Saturday morning, Wim.m Petherick Dexter, with several aliases, was charged with giving false information to tho police, under authority of section 44 of the Military Service Act. 191 G. H<! was remanded to appear on Saturday next. THE PICTURES. Saturday's sessions at the Harbour Light .Picture Theatre were well attended, the interesting and varied programme which was presented being much appreciated. The principal film was a mystery picture entitle "The Blind Adventure.' The same programme will be repeated this eveiung. To-morrow a Metro five-act romance, 'The Claim," starring Edith Story, will be presented. HARBOUR Light Pictures.—Tueed-ay and Wednesday—"The Claim," dealing with the question, "Do Cabaret Girls have Souls? A irrinning, powerful romance, with the brilliant and versatile EDITH STORI as the star. 4151
