One effect of the rMfc of the Epidemic Commission to the quarantine station at Somes Island is to draw attention to tho total inadequacy of the buildings for/the purpose. They are 40 years old, norm-eaten, and deficient in every convenience. They cannot accommodate any large number. It is estimated that a lieaTy sum will bo requirod to install buildings and appliances suitable lor accommodating a largo number of persons.
