MAORI IN QUARANTINE.

TO BE RELEASED TO-DAY,

The ferry steamer Maori will leave hor anchorage in the stream at Lyttelton at 6.30 a.m. to-day, and proceed to her berth at No. 3 wharf.

Dr. Chesson, District Health Officer, visited the vessel yesterday, and directed precautionary measures to be taken on the vessel with a view to minimising the possible risk of infection. An inhalation chamber has beeji installed on the steamer.

Tho Maori will resume her running in tho ferry service to-night. The condition of the fireman, McGuire, who was removed to the hospital, was reported yesterday evening to be about the same.
