VISIT OF FRENCH MISSION.
PROVISIONAL ITINERARY
The French Mission, headed by General Pau, is expected to arrive at Auckland from Australia to-day. All the arrangements for the itinerary are in the hands of the Government. The Mission will be welcomed on arrival by the Acting-Minister of Finance, the Hon. A. M. Myers. Should the members land in the morning they will tour the city and suburbs m tho afternoon, and to-morrow will attend the Auckland Racing Club's meeting at Ellerslie. Thev will be the guests of Dr. H. W. Cleary, Roman Catholic Bishop of Auckland, on Sunday morning, and in the afternoon will be taken around the harbour. The present arrangement is that the party will leave Auckland by the Main Trunk express on Sunday night for Hamilton, _ whence they will proceed next morning to Rotorua. After spending two or three days at Rotorua they will go to Taumarunui, make the trip down tbe Wanganui river, and 50 on to Wellington and the South Island. The Mission will return to Auckland about January 15th, when, prior to their departure on the Niagara, they will be the guests at a civic function.
