FARMERS ENDORSE PROHIBITION.
CANADIAN EXPERIENCES MOST SATISFACTORY UNDER DRY LAW. " J. A. Mahary, of the Saskatchewan' Legislature, Canada, and President of the Saskatchewan Grain Growers' Association, enthusiastically endorses j Prohibition'in these words "I have no: hesitancy whatever an '' giving it my unqualified support. "I have no reserve whatever in saying- thilt Prohibition has done more for I ' the social-betterment of our people than is apparent to the ordinary ob- \ server. It is - reflected in bo many ways, that only by close observation are tho full' benefits revealed. < ''' see it in tho social educational religions as well as the financial condition ,of our 'people, and I have yet , to meet .the. person that wants to go back to tho old system. Probably there is no placd" where its value is reflected more than in the lt Police and Criminal Courts of our country. The .gradual reduction in " • the number of people confined in our i ; gaols and penitentiaries, since the introduction of Prohibition, must surely indicate the beneficial results of it. 40
