:—t f What is it that has saved New Zea- . land and other outlying portions of th< Empire in this war ? The British Navy .Deeds such as those of the Broke anc the Swift, or th« sealing of Zeebrugg* and Ostend, quicken the pulse, but entail the loss of valuable lives, and the Navy League is asking you to help the dependants of tens of thousands of neroit men who have been lost at sea sinct August, 1914. This is you debt tc them, and it is your duty—your responsibility—to contribute magnificently, as they have fought and died. The fund is administered by a responsible and reoresentative committee in London, antf donations sent to tho office of the Navy League, 119 Worcester street, Christchurch, will be gratefully acknowledged.
