The Eltesmcre County Council, at ta meeting yesterday, carried unanimously n, resolution supporting the aims und objects of the Canterbury Progress ' Loacue. and undertaking to pay its full otiota. In announcing th 0 decision Mr John Cunningham, chairman of the Council, said that he was sorry that two members were absent from th-b meeting, because he would like to have seen the resolution carried unahiitiously by a full meeting. The Ashburton County Council oft. Friday endorsed the aims of the League and voted its quota to tile funds.
