The whole week's bag involves 77 German machines destroyed H5 driven dov.«, and 8 balteons Bhol dovW in flames, whilo 54 British machines failed to return. A feature of the week's raiding was soveritv and insistence of the atScks delivered by the R.A.F. Independent Forco on all the usual objectives. On tho Italian front valuable reconand photographic enterprise! were carried out in preparation for the renewed Allied offensive on the Piave. In the recent heavy fighting on the Venetian plain, low Symg scouts played a great part in effectivelv co-operating with the rapidly advancing British infantry. The Austrian airmen, owing to recent heavy losses, showed a marled unappetito for battle. Tho number of British machines misstog Is amazingly low, considering the enormous amount of work accomplished over the fighting zone.
