No. 1 is Nelson Derby, seal brown colt, doublo-gaited, foaled 1917 (half-brother to Derby Chimes 2.13). By Nelson Bingon _ (imp.)— None© (imp.), 2.20. Nelson Bingon and Norice are by two of the greatest sires in tho world —Bin«cn and Chos. Derby. Bingon is the sire of Uhlan 1.58. and Chas. Derby is tho siro of Don Derby 2.4. No. 2 is Theda Bara, a seal.brown filly, pacer, foaled 1915 (half-sister to | Nelson Derby). By Tan Coronado (imp.) | —Norico (imp.) 2.20. The above horses aro all broken to harness. They aro naturally gaited and show wonderful promise, and with the sport of trotting making such great strides in New Zealand, tney should attract tho attention of the best judges of horseflesh. Most of these horses aro entered as ttvo and thrce-year-olda in class races alone to tho valuo of a few thousand pounds, and it is stock of tho above quality that will bo required to win future class races.
