SPECIALIST EXPLAINS CAUSE OF STOMACH TROUBLE.
VALUABLE ADVICE TO SUFFERERS. 'There are many different forms of stomach trouble," said a well-known specialist recently, "but practically all aro traecablo to excessive acidity and food fermentation. That is why the results obtained from tho nso of drugs aro usually so disappointing. Admitting fermentation and consequent acidity of the food contents to bo tho underlying cause of most- forms of indigestion, it naturally follows that the ; us© of a reliable antacid, sucluas bisur- i ated magnesia, which is so frequently prescribed by physicians, will produce hotter results than drugs, or combination of drugs. Accordingly I almost inavariably advise thoso who complain of digestive trouble to get some bisurated magnesia (note the name carcfully, as other forms are not so suitable for this purpose) from tlioir chemist, and tafco half a toaspoonful of tho powder, or two 5-grnin compressed tablets, with a little water, after meals. This, by immediately neutralising the acid, ana stopping the fermentation, removes the j cause of the trouble, and insures normal and healthy digestion."- 593 I
