i\EIV ZEALAND .AMATEUR ROWING ASSOCIATION. ' The thirty-first annual meeting of the New Zealand Amateur Rowing Assoc'ation was held at V.'ollington on Wednesday nieht. Mr K. HcVilly presided. Tie de.egaies present were:—Auckland, Mtssra E. Innes D. R. Menzies; Canterbury, Mr S. l! Partridge; Otago, Mr j.v. W. McVilly (chairman) ; Southland, Mr J. N. Barnes; Wangemii, Mr G. Laughlan; Wellington, Mr J. E Widdop; Nelon, Mr A. D. Bayfeild. Tho annual report and balance-sheet showed the Association to be in a satisfactory position financially. Tho credit balance at bank, including cash in hand (lCs), is is 3 16s id, and the balance of assets over !;«. bilitics is £121 Bs Sd. Tho election o£ orßce-boarers for the ensuing year resulted: —President, Mr R. Vf. McVilly; vice-presidents, Jlx Percy Evan?, Mr -R.-M. ißaaca; hon. socroUry and treasurer, Mr A. D. Bayieild; , Messrs E. Innes, G.-Laugfclan, J. N. Barrea. D H. Menzics, S. li. Paitridge, J. E. V\ i_aop. a:id J M. Conneily; auditor, Mr G. C. Fache. It was resolved that no championship regatta bo held this year. A discussion was held on rowing matters generally in view of the probable ear.y termination of th® war, with the object of getting amateur rowing as one rf tho leading sports of tho Udxuuou.
