» — Tlie annual meeting of the Ashbuxton County Stock and Saleyards Company was held yesterday afternoon, Mr C. J. Harper presiding. Tlio report stated that the directors had pleasure, in recommending a dividend of '7 per cent, and a bonus or per cent. The two amounts would a sorb £342, leaving the sum of £lbJ i" 3 3d to be carried forward. The chairman, in moving the adoption, of the report and balance-sheet, saia the company had had a good year? an ~ l they had been able To make up by way of bonus what they had not done two years ago. The special cattle which had been held at Tinwald yards had been a great sucoess, and naa brought in the company about slwMr H. Friedlandor, in seconding the adoption of the report and_ balancesheet, said the company was in a good financial position. Tbo greatest! increase had come from tho Tmwala yards, which was the company's freehold property, while the Ashburton vards were leasehold. Messrs C. J. Harper and Thomas Bullock were re-elected directors. Mr I'\ Makei-r was re-clected auditor. Mr G ; St. Douglas moved, and Mr i. Watt seconded, that the sum of toU be voted as directors' fees, to bo paid pro rata. . , The motion was carried unanimously. Mr G. Harper expressed pleasure at hearing that the cattle yards at >"7*" wald 'were about to be rebuilt, as the present yards were obsolete. i On the motion of Mr Friedlandcr, j 0.. J.
