FIRST AXXUAI* SPOKTS MEETING,

The firefc aunna.l athletic sports meeting of St. Andrew's College waa held yesterday on tho Collego grounds, "Strowan," Papanui read. There was* a largo attendance of parents and friend®, and the various ©vents wero keenly contested, although the times put» up were only of moderate merit. The display oE prizes waa a very fine one, thanks to tho generous responso of the ladies and gen-tle* men interested in the welfare of the College. Dr. Maitland's trophy for middle ecliool lOOrdfl championship was won by G. A. Boyis. Mrs Smythe's trophy for middle school 220 yds junior handicap was won by R. Martin. Mr W. Lochhead's prizes for putting the weight and for junior high 3«mp were won by K. T. Rainey and S. Maitland respectively. Mr Gresham'e trophy for lMyds senior handicap was won by Arch. McPiiereon.
