—, — f MONTHLY MEETIXG. The Canterbury Land Board met yesterday. Present—Messrs W. H. Skinner, Commissioner of Crown Lands (chairman), It. Macaulay, T. Gee, and W. Cunningham. The chairman announced that Mr D. Stowell had been re-elected a member of tho Board unopposed. The following transfers and sub-lenses were dealt with:—_ Section 27, Four Peaks, Tripp Settlement, '3013 acres, —A. G. Capill to Robert C. Heron. Approved, conditionally. Section 3, Allanliolmo Settlement, 232 acres.—W. G. Ashwortli to G. S. Meredith and S. I. Hilchens. Approved, conditionally. Section 1, Meadows Settlement, 73 acres 8 roods 12 poles.—Khoda Vellock to Christian C. Paterson. Approved, conditionally. Section 18, Kinloch Settlement, 591 acres 3 roods.—T. H. McGirr to Ewart Gladstone Seed. Approved. Section 10, Highbaud Settlement, 372 acres 1 rood.—H. Ward to T. H. McGirr. Aoproved. Section 23, Annan Settlement.—Trustees J. J. Dowd to Francis P. Dowel. Approved. Section 32, Rosewill Settlement, 187 acre.'. —Percy Youdalo to John Brand. Approved.' Sections 5, (5, 6a, and 12, Hekeao Settlement, 237 acres 1 rood 23 poles.—F. Z. D. The Board also dealt with 17 applications under tho Discharged Soldiers' Settlement Act for advances for the purchase of homes, tho paying off of mortgages, etc., totalling about £10,000.
