The Honowai has been delayed at Auckland by wet weather, and did not sail yesterday as arranged. She will leave tho northern port to-day for Dunodin, via East Coast ports. She is due here on Sunday, but her delay in the north may prevent her frotn making this 'oort by that day. The Government steamer- Hinemoa is expected hcTe on Monday morning, ond will be put into dock for cleaning and painting, sailing subsequently for the CimUhams. _ The colliers Kahika and - Kaamn were timed to sail from Greymouth yesterday for Lyttelton, hut /they were unable to take | their departure owing to tho bar being unworkable. 'It is hoped to despatch both' vessels to-day. They are fully loaded wita j coal lor discharge at Lyttelton. Air Hewitt has reetrmed his position s s chief officer of one of tho Union Company s oversea vessels. The Blackball steamer Ngafcuta. leave * Wellington to-day for Greymouth, where 6he will load coal for discharge at Lyttelton.. Vessels duo in port to-day are the Tainm, from Wellington; the Patiki, from Dunedin; and the Calm and Storm, lrom southern, ports. • Hr Anderson, chief ofocer of the Kowhai,' ha* gone - ashore on sick leave, and 3lr, Clark is relieving him. Mr Boyne lias signed on the vessel as sceond officer. The. Hudd&rt-Parker steamer Westraiia left Wellington yesterday morning, arriving here last evening.
