The Wakatu was expected to learo Wellington last evening on a special trip to Pioton, in place of tho coastal steajner Opawa, which is reported to be laid up at Blenheim. The Wakatu is expected to bo back at Wellington. from Picton in time for despatch on Saturday night with cargo for Kaikoura and Lyttelton. Tho oorgo steamer Corinna will bo despatched from Wellington this afternoon, being duo in port to-morrow morning. She will not go further south this trip, but will load here for Nelson and New Plymouth, for which ports she will possibly bo ready to sail to-' morrow night. If her loading operations cannot be completed, by that time, however, she will bo detained hero until Monday. Tlio Monowai'a departure from Dunedin is to bo further deJaycd. Tho vessel will now leave the southern port on Saturday afternoon, making her duo hero on Sunday. She will leave Lyttelton for northern East Coast port/ 1 on Monday afternoon. Tho Westport C<wl Company's steamer Canopus wiU make her next trip with coal from tli© West Coast to Wellington, instead of Lyttelton, as previously announced. Tho Mana should reach Lyttelton to-day from tho North. She leaves to-morrow with cargo for Wanganui direct. The Tainui ia also duo here to-day from Tokomara Bay. The auxiliary echooner Houto has just completed a round trip from Manukau to Lyttelton, and from thence to Kaipara, in seventeen days. An cxpected arrival in port to-rught is tee oollier Kittawa, which left Groymouth on Wednesday night, coal-laden, for Lyttelton. Tho Te Anati, cargo-laden, will probably sail from Wellington to-day for Bluff, vLere she will load for Auckland, via ports. Mr J. Morris, who was chief engineer »f the Wimmcra, has been appointed m a similar capacity to another steamer in tho Hud-dart-Parker fleet. The Calm is due at Lyttelton to-Hay from Wanganui and Wellington to load for Timaru and Dunedin. Sho is timed to rrcceed south to-night. Huddart-Parker, Ltd.. announce that for certain reasons tho Riverina, on her trip from Sydney on September 26th next, will prooeed'to Auckland instead of Wellington SHIPPING TELEGRAMS.
