Scott. H. B. Sorensen. and F. Hoi Tell, acd the Hon. R. Sloore, M.L.C. The Harbour Improvement Committee rocommendcd, after consideration of further correspondence j'Tom Mr Joshua Little regarding hi 3 Sumner Kstuarj- proposal, that hie letters be "received," and that the Board tako no nation in accordance with his desire. — Adopted. The Sailors' Home Committee reported having accepted the undermentioned tenders 'or supplies for the Homo for the period ending ■ July 31st, 1919:—Groceries, bread, acd flour, Forbes, Ltd.; meat, J. Pitcaithly; milk, A. "Wakelin. A letter was received from tho Town Clerk, Lyttelton, caking tliat. the Board restore *he annual grant of £100 towards the upkeep of the Lyttelou Fire Brigade.. This grant was reduced from i'loo to £73 in 1913. Tho application was granted. A letter wan received from the chairman of tuo committee of management of tho Coronation Hall, pointing that the onditiong under which the billiard table iras allowed to bo replaced in the hall had not been observed by the Watersido "Workers' | Union. It was docided to request the union -to appoint two members to the management committee, and that the committee, when reconstituted, bo requested to go into tho question of tho billiard table and report. Tho Board discussed in committee the collision between the tug Lyttclton and the dredge Te "Whaka on August 16th. On resuming, it was reported that the report of tho Board's engineer on the matter had been adopted.
