Sailed—Wellington:' Maori (3.15 p.m.); [ Timaru: Putiki (9 pan.), both for Lyttelton. SHIPPING NOTES. ' Coal-laden from the West Coast, the steamer Kittawa is due at this port to-mor-i row. She will probably occupy two days iD discharging, and will return subsequently to the Coast. , . The Blackball steamer .Ngatoro is at present on the Wellington slip undergoing overhauling and painting. It is probable that the Union Companya | collier Kini will load ooal at Westport at the end of this week for discharge at Lyttelton. The Corinna, with general' merchandise, left New Plymouth yesterday morning for Lyttelton, via Wellington. The Monowai is not now expected to reach this port from the South until Saturday. Sha will sail, northwaxd bound, on Saturday evening. The Mana is expected to return here from her voyage to Wellington and Wanganui on Saturday. The vessel will bring general cargo, sailing Saturday night for Wanganui. The crew of tho Kara have been pa.d off at Wellington. It is understood that the vessel will be laid up for some time, probab'v for overhaul. The Tainui, from Napier and Tofcomaru Bay, will probably reach Lytte'ton to-morrow. She will load general cargo here for discharge at Dunodin, whonco she will prooced to New Plymouth. It is rot anticipated that the ferry ateamox Mararoa will have her overhaul complete 1, and be in readire3s to resume her place in the ferry service, before Saturday afternoon. The Pateena will, in the meantime, remain in the service. Mr J. Duder has joined the Kamoua as mate, replacing Mr A. Inman, who has poneto Wellington for orders. Captain S. NicJnl- ( son is now in charge of the Union Company's coal depot at Wellin-jrton. Mr S. Mann, second engineer of the Monowai, lieu* p-one ashore, hia place being filled by Mr G. Rennie.
