It was agreed that a charge of Cd f or adults and Sd for children should bo made for entrance, to the grounds, and the hop 2 was expressed that many people should contribute a much larger coin, seeing the worthy object for which the match was bting- arranged. The afternoon tea committee reported that arrangements were well in hand to supply afternoon tea on the grounds. The secretary reported that arrangements were now completed for the procession, to leave, the pier at 2.30 p.m., headed by the Nov Brighton Marine Band, Boy Scouts, and Girl Peace Scouts, and the Drum and Fife Band. The match will start punctually at 3 p.m. A very enjoyable fancy dress dance and card match was held in the Pier Hall, New Brighton, last night, in aid of the Copper Trail Fund (New Brighton section). Tho Mayor (Mr F. Kibble white) opened the proceedings. Upwards of 300 people were present. The hall was tastefully decorated. Tho music, was supplied by Mrs Hendren, and Messrs Nuttal (2), Daybourn, and Gfbbs. There were several lucky number competitions, and excellent prizes were presented to tho vrinaere in the card match.
