I The Bar. Archibald E. Hunt, of Wc-HLnr- ' ton, arrived by tho _ Mararoa yesterday, aid i to-night, in the hail of Trinity Congregational Church, will give a dramatic recitaj and monologue entertainment in aid or ; church extension wor« in St. Albans. The Chriatchurch Hounds will meet at | Norwood on Saturday. Ivurse Mande'e Coin afternoon, to be held at Sumner, is postponed for a month. All boys are expect 2d to bo in attendance at the Boys' High School to-day. East Christchurch School and St. Miciael'e Day School will not re-open until Monday. The social and dence arranged by "the Beckcnhain Bowling Ciub for tonight has been postponed till August Bth. The Linwood and Cashmere Schools will re-open on Monday. Tho concert which was to have been held in' St. Mark's Schoolroom, Opawa, to-night, has been postponed tin til August 15th.
