CYCLONE AND FLOODS.
A QUEENSLAND VISITATION. (By Cable. —Proas Association.—Copyright.) BRISBANE, January 24. Definite news from Mackay is anxiously awaited. It is now certain that tl\e town received the full force of the cyclone. The lighthouse at Flab Top was demolished. Practically all trains are "stopped, owing to washaways. The full force of the cyclone was felt at Rockliampton, where great damage was done. The town is completely isolated, the flood waters being inches above the previous record, and still rising. A woman, two children, and three men were drowned. The disturbance is now travelling west, and it is feared that Clermont will again be flooded. All coastal shipping is sheltering. NO IMPROVEMENT IN SITUATION. (Received January 24th. <9.50 p.m.) BRISBANE, January 24. News from the flooded area is very scrappy, but thore appears to bo no in the situation. All communication is interrupted. Mackay's fate is still unknown.
